Mark Sheppard

Mark Sheppard started his legal career in 1982.  He began working for a large practice in Staffordshire. He specialised in Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Probate. Within two years Mark had developed his conveyancing expertise. He was asked to act in plot sales for two multi million pound Midland building companies.

Over several years Mark has gained substantial experience in drafting Wills and Estate Planning for High Net Worth Clients. Mark developed his private client work working for another large solicitors practice based in Stoke-on-Trent. More recently Mark has developed a Commercial Conveyancing practice.

Throughout his legal practice, Mark has gained a reputation of straight talking. Mark always stays calm under pressure, in addition to his practical and effective solution findings.  Due to this on occasions  Mark has been appointment as a Professional Executor, Attorney and a Deputy in Court of Protection matters.


We recently worked with Mark Sheppard on the sale of our home and purchase of a new house. He was exceptionally professional; all queries were answered promptly and calls/emails responded to in a timely manner. The builders of our new home were particularly pushy and challenging, however Mark dealt with them efficiently and the moving day went smoothly. I would recommend this company to everybody you will not be disappointed.

We needed to update our wills, land registry entry and have all various powers of attorney drawn up. We received prompt and efficient resolutions via friendly face to face visits when all were explained simply and effectively. The various separate documents, duly authorised, were provided to our complete satisfaction and at a very reasonable total cost. We have no hesitation in giving our highest recommendation.

Jemma Jarrom nee Norton

Jemma Jarrom nee Norton began her legal career as a secretary in a well-established law firm in Stafford in 2001. In 2005, Jemma decided to take the next steps in furthering her career and successfully studied for the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course alongside her work commitments. Jemma was awarded a 2:1 LLB from The College of Law in 2009 and, following completion of her training contract, Jemma was admitted as a solicitor in March 2010.

Jemma has worked for high street solicitors firms in both Stafford and Stone and has a sound knowledge of the Staffordshire housing market.


Jemma began her employment with Sheppard Fisher in July 2017 and specialises in residential conveyancing matters with a wealth of experience in both freehold and leasehold matters, shared ownership properties, new build properties and re-mortgages.

Jemma combines a proactive approach and an efficiency to progress her clients work with a calm and friendly disposition that results in many recommendations from her growing list of clients.
